Christmas Festivities “For Generation” Lined Up At Greenfield District
Last November 24, 2017, Greenfield Development Corporation launched it’s annual “A Christmas for Generations”, a series of merry-making festivities at Greenfield District.
On its third year, everyone is invited to the annual event inspired by the spirit of Filipino holiday tradition that upholds the value of togetherness and spending quality time with the whole family. The design concept for this year is “multi-color”, and it reflects the many colorful ways Filipinos celebrate the holiday season.
The guiding principle behind its holiday activities is also the vision espoused by Greenfield’s “Building for Generations” mantra where the developer promises and delivers sophisticated homes and communities that will remain relevant for the next generation, and where Filipino families live comfortably and thrive in verdant, spacious neighborhoods.
“Through the years, the event has become a tradition that reminds Filipinos of the simple joys that come with celebrating Christmas, such as having quiet moments or enjoying an exhilarating night with one’s family,” explained Atty. Duane A.X Santos, Greenfield executive vice president and general manager.
Santos, together with Jeffrey D.Y Campos, Greenfield’s president and chairman, and some special guest lead the ceremonial lighting of a 40-foot tall Christmas tree that also kicked off the series of weekend Holiday events at Greenfield District.
“This Christmas season is truly important to us, because the Filipino family has always been at the center of how we envision and grow our company. Christmas is a time for family and we wish to honor this by providing an apt venue where families can reconnect,” said Campos.
The ceremonial lighting of a giant Christmas tree held at the center of Greenfield District’s open-air promenade called Central Park located along Mayflower Street, in front of The Hub mall. Additionally, Greenfield District’s colorful Friday night market, the Kaleidoscope, will be celebrating its second year anniversary.
A vibrant display of fireworks and festive rendition of Christmas carols followed soon after the Christmas tree lightning. Food stalls offering Filipino, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Persian and other well-known cuisines that line up the venue also decorated in holiday themes that bring the spirit of Christmas to everyone.
Greenfield District is an emerging residential, commercial and business hub strategically located at the corner of EDSA and Shaw Boulevard. Living at Greenfield is distinctive for its offering of fiber-optic framework that enable unparalleled internet connectivity. while still preserving the traditions of family and love for nature with its wide open spaces, lush pocket parks, and pedestrian friendly master-plan design.
With its thrust to rekindle traditional family living in the metro, Greenfield is hoping that the event will continue to become part of the Filipino family culture during the holidays – an experience that everyone will appreciate and grow this year.
