Sleep is one of the best beauty treatments you can follow. Your skin restores itself when you are sleeping so make sure to cleanse your face every night before bed, moisturize, use a topical acne treatment if needed, and get to bed. 8 hours of sleep are needed to get the job done right. Turn off any technological device at least 30 minutes before bed to meditate and set your mind at ease with no distractions. Your mind and spirit will feel better too… Then you can face the world and start following your dreams.

Sugars can irritate your acne and cause more inflammation because due to the glucose boosting your insulin level, triggering your hormones to become off balance which can lead to a growth of pore-clogging cells. Yikes! Avoid soda, candy, cookies, cakes, etc… Eat natural fruits and veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins.

Exfoliate your skin

Gently exfoliating your skin with a cleanser or that has micro beads within is a wonderful way to slough off dead skin cells that build on your skin. If you don’t exfoliate, you are trapping all the oil and bacteria in your pores under the layers of dead skin. Exfoliating regularly will also make room for fresh, renewed skin to surface when the cellular build-up is exfoliated away.
