Romantic Must Visit Places In Rome
Rome is a very romantic place to visit with ancient backdrops such the Colosseum and Roman Squares. Lovers have come to Rome from all over the world for romantic getaways:
The Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain):
Designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci, this is the largest Baroque fountain in all of Rome and considered the most beautiful in the entire world. Famous for visitors throwing coins into the fountain for a wish or two and being promised they will return to Rome one day. What better spot for lovers to gaze at the magnificence of the fountain, make a wish and seal it with a kiss.
The Fori Imperiali:
The Imperial forums are series of public squares that took over one and a half century to complete. This is a spectacular place to visit at night for a special stroll. If you want privacy, follow the huge stairs in front of Campidoglio, pass the columns on your left and eventually reach a very secluded natural balcony that overlooks the Forum. You’ll be away from the glaring lights of the forums and enjoy a very special moment of privacy.
During the evening hours, grab a cab to Monet Mario to this wonderful landmark. From an incredible patio, enjoy a special drink with your special someone while soaking up the most incredible view of the city. You will feel like you have just stepped into a romantic Italian movie from the 1950s.
This is far from your tourist attraction, traversed mostly by the locals. You and your lover will enjoy the most authentic pasta dishes and an excellent selection in wines. Then take romantic stroll along Lungotevere Testaccio.
Lungotevere runs along the Tiber River offering the best views of St. Peter’s Basilica, Tiber Island and Castel Sant’Angelo. Lungotevere is lined with gorgeous, enormous trees whose branches stretch down to the water. This is a very, very romantic place to take a walk with your special someone after a nice dinner at Lo Scopettaro.
The Square By Gelateria del Teatro:
This quaint little square offers mosaic tables, an outdoor drinking fountain and more famous Roman steps that reach to the sky. Located on Via del Coronari, this is one of the most romantic places to spend some time together. Share each other’s ice cream and enjoy a very sweet kiss!
The Famous Spanish Steps:
Climb to the top of these massive steps and just sit and listen to the wonderful sounds surrounding you. From the gentle strumming of guitars and distant chatter. Share a bottle of wine and just look out over the square and Via Condotti, stretching before you. This is a very romantic spot that’s favored by many a lover.
The Roof Top Of The Hotel Eden:
There is no place better for taking in a glorious sunset then from the terrace of the Hotel Eden.
