Established in 1948 as The Delgado Clinic, the facility expanded through the years and was later renamed Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital in memory of its founder, Dr. Jesus C. Delgado, a pioneering medical board topnotcher from the University of Santo Tomas with a vision of enhancing the quality of life through excellent personalized patient care. The Delgado Clinic started as a maternity & children’s clinic with only 4 beds and 1 delivery room.

Furthering the growth and development of the institution. By the end of 1960’s, more than 20,000 babies have been delivered.

After the demise of both Dr. & Mrs. Jesus C. Delgado in the 1980′, the reigns of the medical facility were transferred to its former President and Administrator, Ma. Violeta Delgado-Cojuangco, who the completed her master’s degree in Hospital Administration with honors at Ateneo De Manila.
