Malaysian RnB Singer Min Yasmin Philipine Debut Her Solo Album “Pangarap”
Malaysian powerful and soulful RnB singer, Min Yasmin debuted her solo album entitled “Pangarap” here in the Philippines. Also known as a Soundtrack Singer and appeared in numerous Malaysian OSTs, teleseries and movies. She has been awarded as an “Outstanding Asian Singer 2015” by Gawad Sulo Ng Bayan Awards and was also chosem as a “Music Ambassador 2015”. Both award was given in Manila last November 2015. Her first successful international concert was in Zamboanga City last March 2017 and in Tawi-tawi last August 2017. She is among Malaysia’s established international singer under the record label JULFEKAR Music, fully owned and managed by songwriter and producer, Julfekar.
Julfekar is a well-known, award-winning composer and producer in Malaysia. He is the Managing Director of Millennium Art and Julfekar Music. He traces his roots to the Philippines by having a Tausung maternal lineage, which gave his song a warm and heartfelt Filipino flavor. Through his works, Julkefar spread his wings across the Philippine music real, thereby reconnecting his Tausug roots which made him fell in love with words and music in the first place.
Julfekar made history by producing “2 voices”, which is the first-ever full album collaboration between a Malaysian singer (Min Yasmin) and a Filipino singer (Nikki Bacolod). It was launched in Philippines last October 2015 and it was a groundbreaking success. The resulting hit single, “SA IYO” reached the Top 10 charts and stayed for three months in Love Radio, Yes Fm and several other Philippine radio stations.
Another great news is that a follow-up album for Min Yasmin will be released. The international “Pangarap” debut solo album will contain 14 songs, mainly written in Tagalog. The other songs will be rendered in Filipino minor languages Tausug and Sama Bajau, in addition to a couple of English and Malay songs. To seal it success, producer Julfekar collaborated with Philippines’ top hit maker and producer, Venhee Saturno, producing a powerful version and arrangement of the hits “Bakit Pa” and “Kahit Konting Awa,” Julfekar also collaborated with Filipino lyricist Roosevelt “Raz” Itum for the Tagalog songs, Nelson Dino for the Tausug songs and Andhee Basion for the Sama song.
The album has been fully recorded and will be released in both Malaysia and Philippines. It is expected to become a major hit.
