Tips For Baking With Silicone Molds

When the pandemic hit us, cooking magazines and baking magazines caught my attention, which is why I’ve been reading and scanning a lot about cooking, especially baking. Somehow, I learned how to cook, which is why I’m into baking now.

While researching and studying baking, I learned that using a silicone rubber mold makes baking mini cupcakes so easy. Aside from that, it can be used for storage or containers. Silicone is a rubber-manufactured material that does not contain plastic. It is widely used in many fields, like medical devices, mother-and-child products, and the home and kitchen industry.

Apart from its ease of use, silicon rubber is nonstick, flexible, colorful, cheap, and available in a variety of sizes and shapes. Silicone rubber can also be washed and used as many times as you want. If, like me, you’re tired of washing greasy pans after cooking or baking, silicone solution is the best solution for you.

Tips for baking with silicone molds:

  • Make sure it’s clean

The very first and most important step in cooking or baking is making sure your tools are clean. We are cooking or baking food, which is why everything should be clean.

  • Use smaller silicon molds

Smaller silicon molds are more affordable and practical to use. Have a collection of regular-shaped cupcake molds with different colors and different designs or shapes like heart or star. If you have kids like me, I’m pretty sure they will love it.

  • Bake as directed

Keep in mind that smaller silicon rubber can only withstand temperatures of up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Grease it good

We don’t want greasy pans, but greasiness can still help. You can use a cooking spray before cooking or baking to make our lives easier when it comes to cleaning up.

  • Check the quality

Before we purchase something, we always check its quality first, right? Same goes with purchasing a silicone mold. To check, pinch the silicone and twist it a bit. If the color stays the same, you’re dealing with a 100% silicone mold.

  • Find good recipe

You don’t have to be a master chef to use silicone molds for baking because there are a lot of recipes you can check online.

Baking is fun! I hope these tips will help you with it.
